貴女は道行派？それとも道中着派？

今日は先日に続きコートのお話をさせていただきます。
着物のコートの代表格といえば道行ですが、このコートは衿の形が四角くて着た感じがちょっと改まって見えますよね。そうなんです、道行コートの特徴はけっこうオールマイティーに使えるところなんですね。もちろん柄や素材にもよりますが綸子や縮緬で仕立ててあれば礼装にも合わせられます。また、無地感覚のもので仕立てておけば下に着る着物の格を引き立ててくれすっきりと着こなせるのではないかと思います。礼装から普段着までなんにでも相性のいいコートだと思いますので最初の一枚を仕立てるならやはり道行コートがお勧めです。
もう少しカジュアルにと思うなら道中着はいかがでしょうか？道中着は打ち合わせが着物の衿に沿う形に仕立てられています。おしゃれ着にあわせたいなら断然こちらがお勧めです。ちょっと長めの丈に仕立てれば、より着物通で粋に着こなせるのではないでしょうか？特に紬や木綿などの普段着の上に重ねて街を歩けばあなたはもう憧れの人になること間違いなしです。もちろん道中着だからといって普段着だけというわけではありません。道中着だってちゃんと留袖にも合わせられますよ。ただし、素材や柄には配慮が必要です。礼装にも合わせたいのなら縮緬や綸子で仕立てておくといいでしょう。
道行コートや道中着などの和風なコートではピンとこないとおっしゃる方には洋服感覚のコートがお勧めです。
最近ではデパートの着物コーナーでとってもおしゃれな色柄やデザインのコートを見かけるようになりました。
私も先日、呉服売り場をうろうろ歩いていたらすごくかわいいコートをマネキンが着ているのを見つけて思わずチェック。
道行コートや道中着は流行がないので一度誂えておけば一生物だけど、洋服感覚のコートにははやり流行があって一生というわけにはいかないななんて思いながら値段を拝見。
６万円は勇気が要ります。・・・
家に帰って早速ミシンを取り出しカタカタ、カタカタ。
えへへ、似た様な感じのコートを縫っちゃいました。これって犯罪？
とにかく、これからの季節、１枚はほしい上着です。思い切って手に入れれば思いのほか重宝します。暖かい上に埃よけにもなるし、おしゃれ度もぐんとアップ。ご自分の好みや必要性に合わせて着物上級者へとステップアップしましょう。
